turn at a free table.
The Hillsdale Business and Professional Association has been trying to
determine the future of the Wild Oats store, now that the Wild Oats
company has been bought by Whole Foods. It was decided that Wes Risher
would contact the regional manager of Wild Oats to introduce the
Hillsdale neighborhood to him or her.
Wes is looking for a summer intern to work on the Wilson master plan.
He noted that the Rieke 11-year-old Rieke soccer surface needs to be
replaced.
John Morris, of Hillsdale NET, noted a meeting April 28 at PCC on crime prevention and emergency management.
Don Baack said work crews will be invited to work on the Stephens Creek
Nature Park path and on removing invasives from Himes Park. April 21st
is Community Clean up day and SOLV clean-up is May 12.
After holding two farmers market charrettes for the Hillsdale Plaza
plans, the Hillsdale Neighborhood Association is seeking money from the
city to proceed with refined planning and construction estimates.
The SWNI candidates’ night is April 30. A major sewer reconstruction project is planned for Multnomah Boulevard.
Neighborhood House and 14 church congregations received 18,000 pounds
of food donations and between $8,000 and $9,000 in cash for the “Feed
the Hungry” program.
The Neighborhood House annual auction is May 12.
